BIOGRAPHY: Fought on both sides of the Civil War starting out with his brother WR and after deserting the Confederate Army, fought with the Union Army under the name of Tom Moore.

BIOGRAPHY: Was living with his family in Travis Co. Texas when he got into a fight in a saloon and broke the other man's neck. He fled to Globe, Arizona under the aka of "Tom Rose" when talk of a lynch mob organizing to get him started circulating.

DEATH: Rumour has it that he was shot in the back while chopping wood on his ranch by a bushwhacker known as "Red Whiskers" who was tracked down in six days and killed by an Indian Tracker. But his death certificate shows he died from old age at 90 years old.

Thomas married Phalbey Pearce, daughter of Frances Pearce and Elizabeth Chism, in 1858. (Phalbey Pearce was born on 7 Oct 1837 in Ark and died on 30 Apr 1921 in Ft. Tomas, Graham Co. Az.)
